Colin Alexander is an artist, musician, and writer living and working in Baltimore,

Maryland. He will receive his BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in

2014.

Growing up in Ohio and New Jersey, he learned carpentry skills making sets for local high

schools’ theatre departments and studied gardening on the side while refining skills in

imagery for school. His work is interdisciplinary by nature and addresses themes of

humor, desire, and phenomenology. This often equates to a holding of the pathetic as a

valuable aspect of human nature.

He has exhibited in a variety of groups shows as well as in two joint exhibitions in 2013, most recently with the show Warm Space in the TANK gallery in Baltimore, MD.
